Kitchen Remodificationality

This one took some time, but it was well worth the wait! Our household acquired the subcontracting services of one Peter Debye-Saxinger to rock the kitchen's proverbial pony.

Pete and Jess thought long and hard about this project, as you can see.

First things first: demolish stuff in a bubble room akin to E.T.'s sicktank in the movie. Elliot phone home?

Setting the forms for the concrete countertops.

Laying the concrete and utilising the ancient technique of banging stuff with hammers.

Done! Wasn't that easy? Now time to polish the surfaces and lay the tile on the walls.

Whoa-time.

Dev and her friend Maude helped mastermind the tile patterns.

Sour grout.

Tile now almost done, Basho lends a hand with the stove hood. Piece o' cake.

Closer...

Sink and new dishwasher now installed! Effing A!

M. Zanzibar is thoroughly impressed.

Pete comes up for air briefly before continuing his underwater synchronized swimming routine. It's gold or bust in the next summer olympics; good luck Pete!

Bertazzoni stove/oven time! Rock_the_pony.

And voila! Done and done! What'd that take, about five minutes?

Awesomeness incarnate. Next up is bridge-time.
